Pastor Dawn Adams accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior at the young age of 7 years old at her family church, Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, Milwaukee, WI. The late Reverend Willie D. Wanzo was her first Pastor and her maternal grandparents Moses & Allie Mae Crumble were her first prayer partners.
After being baptized, Pastor Dawn relocated with her mother to Los Angeles, CA where she attended Goodwill COGIC under the spiritual guidance of her uncle and Pastor, the late Reverend Dave Pitchford. She later attended New Mt Calvary MBC where the late Reverend Lonnie Dawson was her Pastor.
It was at New Mt Calvary where Pastor Dawn rededicated her life to Christ and was called to the ministry of Intercessory Prayer. Desiring a closer relationship with the Lord and a clearer understanding of ministry, she was led by Holy Spirit to First Church of God, where the late Bishop Benjamin F. Reid was her Pastor and who was the catalyst guided by Holy Spirit launching Minister Dawn into a full-fledged Prayer Ministry.
After relocating to Sacramento in 2004, Pastor Dawn and her family became members of Center of Praise under the Pastorate of Dr. Parnell Lovelace and Pastor Joseph Sissac.
In January 2015, Pastor Dawn once again said yes to the Lord’s call on her life and Women Who Pray Ministries (WWPM), an ordained and consecrated ministry, was born. WWPM stays true to its mission to serve hurting women around the world. As a result of this commitment WWPM has grown from eight (8) members to nearly five-thousand (5,000) and is represented in seventeen countries. After recommitting to the call on her life, Pastor Dawn once again began praying for God’s direction and served briefly under the Pastoral leadership of Reverend Samuel and Pastor Eva Rodriguez at New Season Christian Worship Center in Sacramento, CA. She served as Altar Minister and as an integral member of the Pastoral Intercessory Team. Pastor Dawn was also Director of Women’s Ministry at New Season Church.
